You are invited to nominate your favorite bartender, then encourage others to vote and leave comments for them. Use the Share option above to spread the word by Facebook, Twitter or email.

The best bartender can be defined by many aspects; best service, best drinks, broadest drink knowledge, the fastest, best under pressure, best personality, best stories, best listener, most consistent, whatever attribute makes you happy. We wanna hear about them.

To nominate a bartender submit

1. the bartender’s picture – mobile phones are great for this,
2. the bartender’s name,
3. their place of work (name and location), and
4. why they deserve to be named LA’s Best Bartender.

Registered users can submit/nominate up to 3 bartenders and vote once for as many nominees as they like.

All nominations and comments will be moderated. We wanna keep it clean, positive and fun.

BARTENDER COMPETITION DESCRIPTION

The objective here is to select 5 finalists.

Following the nomination/voting phase (and vetting), the top vote getter will be named the People’s Choice winner and be automatically included as a finalist.

The judges will select 4 finalists from the remaining 24 semi-finalists.

On 10/09 the LA community is invited to attend the competition and party. Come taste and vote for the best Karlsson's Gold Vodka cocktail (created by the finalist bartenders), shop at Barkeeper's pop-up store, slurp boozy snow cones from IceIceShavie.com, witness the competition, and give our bartenders love & appreciation.

The judging standards and ratings system will be determined by Table 20 in cooperation with the United States Bartender's Guild.

CHARITY
We will actively promote and contribute a share of ticket sales proceeds to The Gentle Barn

The Gentle Barn was founded by Ellie Laks in 1999 and now run by Ellie and her husband Jay Weiner who joined forces in 2002. The Gentle Barn is currently home to 130 animals who are rescued from severe abuse, neglect or slaughter. Once the animals are rehabilitated they stay at the barn for the rest of their lives and serve as ambassadors helping to heal abused children. The Gentle Barn is host to kids in foster care, on probation, in gangs, on drugs and from the inner city, as well as school groups and special needs kids and adults. Through the interactions with the animals and their stories, kids learn kindness, compassion, confidence and reverence for all life.

A valid/complete entry consists of the following;

• Legible photograph of the bartender as the focus.
• Bartender’s name
• Place of work – Venue name and city/area
• Reason for selection

Incomplete entries will not be valid for participation in the contest.

The Contest Organizer reserves the right to invalidate contest entries at their discretion.

In case of multiple nominations for one bartender, the first submission will be valid.

The Contest Organizer may exchange entry photos for duplicate nominees deemed to be of a better quality.
